Carrollwood Against Rezoning

813CARe is a grass-roots organization comprised of HOAs and individual homeowners who are OPPOSED to the proposed rezoning at the Northwest corner of Dale Mabry and Floyd Road (MM 12-0336). This proposed rezoning would accommodate a 41,000 square foot WalMart Neighborhood Market and 6,000 square foot WaWa's convenient store and gas station. It would also ADD A TRAFFIC LIGHT and FULL INTERSECTION at Dale Mabry and Floyd Road. Our organization is adamantly opposed to this rezoning application.

We are hard at work preparing for our last stand at the Board of County Commisioners Land Use Hearing on December 11th.  This is when the Commissioners will review the recommendation of the zoning officer (for or against the application) and the citizens will have the ability to voice their opposition. The Commissioners will then vote to approve or deny the application - meaning whether Carrollwood will be subjected to decades of increased traffic woes or if the Commission will listen to their constituents and deny the rezoning request.
